"Six witnesses have been interrogated," head of the public relations services at the Indonesian Police Headquarters Snr. Comr. Agus Rianto said here on Thursday.
The witnesses consisted of one student, one private company employee, and four on-duty police officers, he said.
Based on information from the witnesses, two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle opened fire at the South Palu police resort station on Wednesday night at around 11.00 p.m. local time, he said.
"According to the information, they opened fire more than once," he said.
However, police had so far only found a shell of rifle bullet in the scene, he said adding to establish the type and kind of firearm used in the shooting case a further study was needed.
No damage nor casualty was reported in the incident, he said.
Agus said the chief of the Central Sulawesi provincial police was still trying to collect as much evidence as possible by among others interrogating witnesses to find the culprits.(*)
