The first-semester oil and gas revenues reached US$18.7 billion, or 1.63 percent above the target, SKK Migas chief Rudi Rubiandini said here on Thursday.
"We are also optimistic that the revenues will outstrip the target at the end of this year," he said.
He said oil production in the first semester of 2013 reached an average of 831,118 barrels per day, accounting for 99 percent of the target of 840,000 bpd in the state budget.
"The oil production is good because it was recorded for the past time ever in the past three years," he said.
He said a number of joint operation contractors saw their oil production exceed the production target in the state budget.
He said ConocoPhillips Indonesia Ltd produced 34,867 bpd, outstripping its target of 32,890 bpd, Vico Indonesia produced 13,740 bpd surpassing its target of 13,010 bpd, Medco E&P Indonesia (S&C Sumatra) produced 6,841 bpd, exceeding its target of 6,630 bpd, and PHE ONWJ produced 38,996 bpd or higher than its target of 38,080 bpd.(*)
