The funds allocated in the State Budget 2013 are aimed at supporting the development of roads, and irrigation and clean water supply projects in a number of regions.
The recipients include Jambi Province (Rp2.29 billion), East Java (Rp943.35 million), Central Kalimantan (Rp5.91 billion), and West Sulawesi (Rp585.98 million).
Other recipients are Batanghari District, Jambi Province (Rp174.81 million); Bangkalan District, East Java (Rp1.08 billion); Surabaya, East Java (Rp91.91 million); Pacitan District, East Java (Rp1.61 billion); South Barito, Central Kalimantan (Rp848.67 million); West Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan (Rp1.72 billion); and East Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan (Rp1.84 billion).
The objective of the Local Government and Decentralisation Projects in Indonesia is to improve the accountability and reporting of the central government`s Specific Purpose Grants (DAK) for the infrastructure sub-sectors within pilot local governments (LGs).
The fund allocation is based on the results of DAK Verification, in accordance with the Loan Agreement dated June 23, 2010, between the Indonesian government and the World Bank.
