The power plants are part of the second phase of fast track program (FTP-2), according to Regulation of the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister No.21/2013, a copy of which was made available here on Wednesday.
The new regulation is a revision of old regulations No. 2/2010, 15/2010, and 1/2012.
Two of the six thermal power plants will be built by state electricity company PT PLN. They are PLTU Indramayu with a capacity of 1x1,000 MW and PLTU Jawa 6 with a capacity of 2x2,000 MW, both in West Java.
