Bank Mandiris Corporate Secretary Nixon Napitupulu said on the press statement, which was made available to ANTARA here, on Sunday, that Brand Finance analyzed the major domestic companies in Indonesia through a brand-strength index and announced that Bank Mandiri gets the highest score.
"We are very grateful that Bank Mandiris brand is the highest among others in banking industry. This achievement was the result of hard work from all of Bank Mandiri stake-holders and we do hope this will push our attempt to be the best bank in ASEAN by 2020," Napitupulu said.
According to Napitupulu, Bank Mandiri always takes care of its brand as a main asset in aiming to hold the customer trust. In 2007 to 2008, Bank Mandiri had started a re-branding process, including its market positioning.
Napitupulu added a brand is also an important component to pull the peoples interest to become a customer, hence the better Bank Mandiris brand, the more people would be loyal customers.
"We do hope that brand of Bank Mandiri, as our intangible asset, will push our growth to the higher achievement in the next future," he said.
Bank Mandiri is the strongest public bank in Indonesia with total asset reached Rp700.1 trillion until September 2013, which mostly supported by credit distribution growth to Rp450.8 trillion.
The credit distribution growth was also increased Bank Mandiri net profit to Rp12.8 trillion from Rp11.1 trillion in third quarter of 2012. (*)
