Situbondo, East Java (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Navy Forces received 37 amphibian tanks of type BMP-3F that had been purchased from Russia sometime ago, here on Monday.

The acceptance ceremony was held at the Combat Center Karang Tekok area, Situbondo, and was attended by defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Military Chief General Moeldoko, Navy Chairman Admiral Marsetio and representatives from the Russian Embassy in Jakarta.

Navys spokesman Vice Admiral Untung Suropati stated that the tanks were produced by the Russian company Kurganmashzavod. (*)
