Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara province, on Monday at 4.21 a.m. Western Indonesian Standard Time (WIB).

The quake was located at 9.85 degrees latitude, 118 degrees longitude, around 128 km southeast of Sumbawa, and at a depth of 10 km below sea level, the national meteorological, climatology and geophysics agency (BMKG) said on its website.

The tremor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami.
