Garuda is ranked in the list of four star airlines by Skytrax..."Manado, North Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - The nations flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is ready to compete in a free market after the implementation of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.
"Garuda Indonesia has prepared itself with marketing and operational strategies," General Manager of Garuda Indonesia for Manado branch Piktor Sitohang said.
Garuda has improved services, convenience and security and has established alliance with a number of other airlines by joining the SkyTeam, Piktor said.
The airline joined the SkyTeam in 2014.
Garuda Indonesia has been recognized in reputation nationally and internationally, he said in this North Sulawesi capital on Tuesday.
He pointed out the airline has received the certificate of The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) from IATA, meaning that Garuda has fully met the international flight security standard.
"Garuda is ranked in the list of four star airlines by Skytrax indicating the airline has good performance and services," he added.
In 2012, Garuda Indonesia was awarded a token of appreciation for Best International Airline among world class airlines. Around 91 percent of its passengers expressed satisfaction with its services.
