The Global CSR Summit & Awards since its inception in 2009, has been the leading voice of change in promoting corporate social consciousness. The theme for 2015 event "Creative Inclusive Market Innovations" is a reflection of the impending force of change in our global society and is built upon our foresight in the previous year's conference theme: "Paradigm shift for meaningful change".
World leaders have described the current period as an era of global turbulence with unprecedented impact to all levels of the global community with crises occurring in the economic, environmental, social and humanitarian space. No one will be spared in this interconnected world where businesses will have to play a much bigger role in reshaping the world. Can businesses re-align their strategies in being a force for good and to embrace a more inclusive business model?
Since the Global financial crisis in 2007/2008, there have been serious doubts on the effectiveness and equitability of our current finance driven capitalism in furthering the welfare of societies. President Bill Clinton, in one of his recent keynote speeches, highlighted the inadequacies of the current economic system and called for a more inclusive capitalist system.
The 7th Annual Global CSR Summit & Awards 2015 will attempt to discuss what it means to have a fully inclusiveness model and how that could be able to achieve large scale social and business impact.
The prestigious Global CSR Awards 2015 will be held concurrently at the summit and will recognize the winners who have attained the pinnacle of achievements in the area of environment, community, product innovation, education, workplace and women's rights.
One of the highlight of this event include an exhibition component for the first time this year to allow leading vendors in the energy, water and waste management to showcase their solutions to ready buyers from leading CSR conscious companies. Delegates will also be treated to an eco-tour to the most scenic places in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Yogyakarta is world famous for the ancient Borobudur and Prambanan temples and is one of the most important tourist destinations in Indonesia.
