In a press statement received by ANTARA here on Monday, the BNN said that its officers arrested Erick in Cempaka Wangi in Central Jakarta on January 30, and David, who is Ericks man, in Kemayoran, also in Central Jakarta, the same day.
The lawbreakers told officers that they were lured with some Rp5 million to commit drug-related crimes on Mustofas orders.
Sylvester Obiekwe alias Mustofa has been found committing narcotics crimes four times, so far.
In 2003, he was arrested by the Narcotics Directorate of the National Police Headquarters for smuggling 1.2 kilograms of heroin into Indonesia, and was later sentenced to death by the district court in Tangerang, Banten.
In 2012, Mustofa was caught by the BNN for leading two people, Iman and Devi, to smuggle 2.4 kilograms of methamphetamine from Papua New Guinea to Indonesia.
Furthermore, in August 2014, he was caught again for arranging the distribution of 6.5 kilograms of methamphetamine through Alex and Nico.
In January 2015, he was found responsible for the activities of courier Dewi, from whom the BNN had confiscated a total of 7.6 kilograms of methamphetamine as evidence.
The anti-drugs agency had apprehended Mustofa and fellow prisoner Andi for controlling Dewis activities.
Dewi was caught for possession of 1,794.1 grams of methamphetamine at a parking lot of a hotel in Central Jakarta on January 25.
Following further investigations and a raid in Dewis home, BNN officers confiscated 5,828.8 grams of methamphetamine in 56 plastic packets and a bag containing two packages of the drug hidden in a cardbox. The total amount of methamphetamine confiscated by the BNN reached 7,622.9 grams.
