"We hope the KPK will remain a neutral institution and will use its authority properly," Fadli said here on Monday.
The DPR, he noted, expects the KPK to establish good communication with it and other state institutions.
Good communication, he stated, can help our system eradicate corruption comprehensively.
"We (DPR-KPK) have discussed several existing problems and standard operation procedures," he noted.
Fadli remarked that Parliament appreciated the gesture of the KPKs acting leader by visiting the House members in order to establish a relationship.
"We are equally committed to combating corruption, so Parliament will not weaken the KPK," he remarked.
Meanwhile, KPKs acting chairman Taufiqurrahman Ruki affirmed that he did not discuss any current technical agenda with the DPR leaders during their meeting.
His visit, he noted, was to introduce the acting leaders of the KPK to the heads of state institutions.
"Although the KPK is a state commission, it should not be considered equivalent to the board. The President, the Peoples Consultative Assembly, and the DPR have other responsibilities and are at a different level," he pointed out.
He explained that in the future, the KPK will expect a lot of inputs from Parliament, especially from the leaders of the DPRs Commission III, on its performance.
Ruki emphasized that the KPK will establish better communication with the DPR to resolve various problems.
"This communication should not be considered as a conspiracy. It is far from our thoughts," he added.(*)
