The three judges and a clerk are accused of accepting bribes worth US$15,000 (some Rp195 million) and SG$5,000 (around Rp45 million) from a person in connection with a case tried at the PTUN.
"Based on results of the investigation and evidence obtained from the scene, we came to the conclusion that there was corruption involved in the case related to a lawsuit filed at the PTUN," the acting deputy chairman of the KPK, Johan Budi, said at a press conference here on Friday.
The suit was filed with the PTUN following the issuance of an investigation order.
"It was related to a review of the authority of the North Sumatra High Prosecutors Office under law number 30/2014 on government administration, to investigate an alleged case of corruption over social assistance in the province," he stated.
According to law number 30/2014, PTUN has the authority to assess whether civil servants have abused their authority.
The three judges identified by their initials as TIP, AF and DG were caught red-handed at the PTUN office in Medan on Thursday.
