We snare ourselves with our own regulations."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the congress of the Indonesian Engineers Association here Saturday.
In his opening address, the president spoke about the realization of development projects including the decision to revive the much-delayed infrastructure projects.
He did not want to launch the groundbreaking for the construction of infrastructure projects in any old way, the Head of State said.
"If we decide something, it must be based on calculation," he said.
The government wanted all regulations impeding businesses to be revised as part of effort to create pro-business investment climate, he further said.
"We snare ourselves with our own regulations," he said.
"The future vision is competition vision and for that we must focus our priorities on infrastructure," he said.
On the occasion the President was awarded an honorary membership of the association.
