The agreement was reached at a meeting here on Monday.
"The revision to be made by phases in April and May this year, is in preparation for the Pilkada in 2017," deputy chairman of Commission II Lukman Edy said here on Monday.
The revision has to be able to deal with the various problems still faced in the last Pilkada, which was held at the same time in 2015, Lukman said.
Among the problems are accuracy in the list of voters, mechanism of invitation as there were many eligible voters receiving no invitation to cast votes, neutrality, which is doubted of the election commission and civil servants and rampant money politics.
Failed incumbent must be restricted from taking part in election, he said.(*)
