Global competition is also more open.Jakarta (ANTARA News)) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the opening of the Consolidation of National Capital Investment Planning and Implementation 2016 (KP3MN 2016) at the State Palace here on Monday.
National Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chief Franky Sibarani remarked after the opening ceremony that the KP3MN has a strategic value.
Sibarani said the KP3MN has been conducted since 2009, and it was a matter of pride to be inaugurated by the president in 2016.
He shed light on several strategic values of the KP3MN throughout 2015, including an increase in the number of investments within and outside Java island.
"Global competition is also more open. Last year, Indonesia received 34 percent of the investment potential in the region," he noted, adding that Indonesia ranked above Vietnam and Malaysia.
Besides inaugurating the KP3MN, President Jokowi also launched the ease of direct investment in the field of construction and service improvement in investment licenses to three hours for the infrastructure field.
