Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - The Command Center or integrated service, which is located on the second floor of the ex-Siola building here, serves as a national model, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Asman Abnur said.

"My duties are no longer heavy as Surabaya has set an example. Other regions can follow suit. Hopefully, the people of other regions can feel the same benefit as Surabaya residents," he said while visiting the Command Center here on Thursday.

Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini said the function of the Command Center is to receive emergency complaints from the public through the call center number 112 and monitor the citys condition through CCTV cameras.

"The Command Center is linked to various relevant agencies, such as PMI (Indonesian Red Cross), Basarnas (national Search and Rescue Agency) and the police," she said.

Shortly after Risma, as the mayor is popularly called, briefed the minister on the Command Center, the latter said "Okay, Mrs. Mayor. Its excellent."

The mayor further stated that the integrated service at the Siola building involves several agencies, particularly those related to public services and licensing, including the Population and Civil Registration Office, the Culture and Tourism Office and the Trade and Industry Agency.

All are centered in one location aimed at enabling the public to receive services more easily, he noted.

Risma said she was delighted with the innovations in public services. "I am delighted that Mr. Minister praised our hard work. And I am also pleased to hear many regions have provided good services. This means that Indonesia will also be good," she said.(*)
