Kualasimpang, Aceh (ANTARA News) - A truck plunged into a 60-meter deep ravine in the westernmost Indonesian province of Aceh before dawn on Monday, leaving 11 out of 15 people on board injured.

The truck carried workers who were going to work in an oil palm plantation in Aceh Tamiang district when it met the accident, according to a source from Kualasimpang in Aceh Tamiang district.

All the victims are being treated at Aceh Tamiang general hospital.

Susilawati, one of the victims, said the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the truck while he tried to avoid a student riding a motorcycle in the middle of the road.

No fatalities were reported in the accident. (*)
