The military is ready to guard them during their holiday, the Commander of the Udayana/Regional Military Command IX, Major General Kustanto Widiatmoko said here on Friday.
Although the visit is purely a vacation and there will be no official activities, security measures will be tightened without disturbing the entourage, he said.
He further said the Saudi delegation has not informed him as to which tourist attractions they would like to visit during their stay in Bali from March 4 to 9.
The Saudi King, who is accompanied by 25 princes as part of his 1,500-member entourage, has booked five luxurious hotels located on beaches next to the Indian Ocean.
Media reports revealed that the rates of the hotel rooms had jumped to Rp73 million (over US$5,400) per night in Nusa Dua, and the regular hotel room rates are now pegged between $500 and $1,500 per night.
King Salman was on a state visit from March 1 to 3, in Jakarta. The last visit of a Saudi King to Indonesia was 47 years ago. (*)
