We would like to strengthen cooperation and establish good relations with Indonesia."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Hospital Association (Persi) and the Korean Hospital Association (KHA) will cooperate in the medical field ranging from the sharing of knowledge and technology to hospital management.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by General Chairman of Persi, Kuntjoro Adi Purjanto and KHAs Chairman Hong Jeong Yong, here on Friday (March 31).
According to Kuntjoro, South Korea is interested in the concept, which has been used in Indonesia as a solution for health care with the geographical challenge of separate islands.
Telemedis is the use of telecommunication to provide medical information and remote services.
The concept has been used in Indonesia as part of the "HaloDoc" application services.
Hong said the reason his organization chose Indonesia as a cooperation partner was because Indonesia is a big country.
"Indonesia is a big country, a country that is growing rapidly. We would like to strengthen cooperation and establish good relations with Indonesia," Hong disclosed.
Meanwhile, Kuntjoro said the purpose of the cooperation with South Korea among others is to study the medical technology implemented by South Korea, the transfer of knowledge and experience in the field of education in hospitals, as well as to study the national health insurance system.
