Ankara, Turkey (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo was greeted with a state ceremony at the Turkeys White Palace, locally known as the Beyaz Saray, by the countrys President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Widodo, also known as Jokowi, arrived in Erdogans White Palace, which is located on the outskirt of Turkeys city of Ankara, on Thursday at 11.15 a.m. local time.

Five minutes prior to Jokowis arrival, Erdogan inspected the honorary alignment troops and headed out of the palace buildings to greet Jokowi.

A blue carpet was spread to welcome Jokowi, while Turkeys best troops, wearing their blue uniforms, lined along the path that leads to the palace. Along the side, a number of Ottoman troops, wearing their signature uniform, were standing in line.

At 11:18 a.m. local time, a group of horsemen escorted the presidential car carrying Jokowi, as it entered the Palace grounds.

Two national anthems were played, along with the firing of a cannon that signifies the welcoming of an honorary state guest.

After that, both presidents inspected the honorary troops lined down to the very last line.

They both then introduced each other to their own cabinet members and delegations that had come accompanied them.

Erdogan then invited Jokowi into the Palace for a tete-a-tete meeting, followed by a bilateral meeting.(*)
