Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met former president Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie at the Merdeka Palace on Monday.

"It is within the context of the National Technology Day on Aug 10," State Secretary Pratikno told reporters after accompanying the president to meet Habibie at the Presidential Palace.

Pratikno revealed that BJ Habbie was concerned about the development of science and technology.

"The development of science and technology is linked not only to the development of high technology but also to creative industry technology," he remarked.

Pratikno also revealed that Habibie conveyed the cooperation with the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) to the president.

"He also spoke about the Bekraf Habibie Festival in Kemayoran," he explained.

Pratikno noted that Habibie had conveyed details on everything carried out as a result of cooperation between Bekraf and the Habibie Center in Kemayoran event, which will be held until Aug 13, 2017.

The Secretary explained that the president and Habibie had also discussed matters related to National Technology Day.(*)
