"We will offer souvenir products such as shirts to earn some income, in addition to budget from the state and from sponsors," Chairman of INASGOC Erick Thohir said here, Wednesday.
The money from souvenir sales will go to the treasury of the Asian Games 2018`s Public Service Board, like that of ticket sales.
"There will be various kinds of souvenirs. We will announce them in December," he said.
The organizing committee hopes to earn at least 20 percent from their total income from sales of souvenirs and tickets, as well as sponsorship.
The Indonesian Government provides funds from the State Budget (APBN) reaching up tp 80 percent of the total cost for the implementation of the Asian Games next year.
"We have reached deals with domestic and foreign sponsors, including from state-owned enterprises," he said.
In early December, Vice President M Jusuf Kalla will hold a meeting with those sponsors.
The INASGOC will ask the sponsors to help provide equipment for the Asian Games` volunteers.
The 18th Asian Games, a regional sporting event for Asian nations, will be co-hosted by Palembang and Jakarta in 2018.
The opening ceremony of the Asian Games will be on August 18, 2018.
