Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Energy and Natural Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan has stated that the government has achieved the target of single-fuel price program in Indonesia on 2017.

"The single-fuel price program is a national action plan of the ministry that was achieved 100 percent on 2017. I appreciate all parties for their assistance in the program," Jonan noted here on Monday.

The minister appreciated the Indonesian oil company, PT Pertamina, which had managed to run the program smoothly.

The government has established 57 fuel distribution centers since 2016 to 2017 to support the single-fuel price program.

The last fuel distribution centers that were built in 2017 are located in Pontianak of West Kalimantan Province.

The government is cooperating with oil distributors such as PT Pertamina and PT AKR Corporindo to implement the program.

Jonan added that the government plans to operate the single-fuel price distributors in 159 locations, focusing on remote areas.

The program can decrease the fuel price in remote areas to be equivalent with the price in central areas.

The government targets to stabilize the fuel price in remote areas, which can be hiked to Rp100 thousand per liter to be Rp6,450 per liter.
