Andalusia Tribuana Tungga Dewi, a political counselor of Indonesian Embassy to UK in London said the bilateral partnerships in several priority sectors will be more intensified, she remarked.
The UK Prime Minister May reshuffled her cabinet on Monday (Jan 8) in order to assert her authority, mainly after she lost majority votes and some ministries because of several scandals arise last year.
The cabinet reshuffle is also appeared as a new strategy to confront a new deal with the European Union on "British Exit" (Brexit) agreement.
However the new deal on Brexit, is predicted will be challenged with some disputes arise within May`s Conservative Party.
Concerning the latest political circumstances in UK, the Indonesian political counselor said, Indonesian government will closely watch the dynamics, while stressing that the reshuffle is completely a domestic affair of UK government under May administration.
"Whatever the result, Indonesian government is ready to cooperate with UK, mainly in term of improving the bilateral partnerships in some priority sectors that will be beneficial for the our interest," she remarked.
As reported by AFP, the Labor Party has started this year by attacking government on numerous issues, including the healthcare program, and crisis in rail system.
Despite of the reshuffle, some figures such as Foreign Affairs Ministry Boris Johnson, Finance Ministry Philip Hammond, and Brexit Ministry David Davis are expected to be remained on their positions.
In 2017, the UK trade envoy, Richard Graham has visited Jakarta to reaffirming his country`s position to stay as a reliable partner for Indonesia, mainly when UK officially leaves the European Union.
