During the summit, the president will take part in two sessions which will discuss international issues.
"The retreat session will focus on maritime cooperation," Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said at the Presidential Palace here on Thursday.
In addition, President Jokowi will also take part in a plenary session which will discuss growing issues in the region as well as international issues.
The president is scheduled to arrive India on January 25 and then take part in the ASEAN-India Summit.
On January 26, the Indonesian leader will attend a function marking India Republic Day.
The president will visit India as part of his five-South Asian nation tour which will also take him to Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
