Kuala Pembuang, C Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Suling Tambun Hydro Micro Power Plant (PLTMH), the largest in Central Kalimantan, has stopped operating after damage to the engine parts.

"The damage since early January 2018 to the engine parts of the PLTMH with the capacity of 250 kilo-volt ampere in Seruyan District

has halted the electricity supply to the community," Suling Tambun Village Head Lipinus remarked in Kuala Pembuang on Friday.

Consequently, he said the local people have to undergo daily activities for the last four months without electricity.

He explained that the PLTMH which was built by using state budget funds amounting to Rp19 billion suffered damage to the dynamo so as not to generate electricity.

Sub-district officials have also officially reported the damage to the PLTMH to operating to the local authority, in addition to attempting to repair the damage.
