A statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest received by Antara here on Tuesday mentioned that the appreciation and gratitude was delivered by Minister Novak through a letter to Ambassador Wening.
In the letter Novak also hopes that the efforts made by the Indonesian Ambassador in collecting charity funds could be a good example for the ambassadors of other fellow countries.
Ambassador Wening gave the donation to the Budapest Early Intervention Center, which is a foundation that handles and provides early childhood education especially for children at 0-5 years old with special needs.
The 400,000 Hungarian Forint funds, or about US $ 1,466, is 10 percent of the profit which was gained by the participants of the Indonesian Days and Charity Bazaar (IDCB) 2018.
The event was held on May 5-6, 2018 at the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest.
Minister Novak noted that the Ambassador`s effort was a good precedent and could be a role model. It is expected to invite more donations, mainly from representatives of other fellow countries in Hungary.
