Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Offices have been given the 2018 Investment Award as the Third Best Integrated One Stop Service in the provincial category.

The award, which came from the Capital Investment Coordination Board, was given to Edy Junaedi, the head of the Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Offices, by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, who was accompanied by Board Head Thomas Trikasih Lembong, in Jakarta on July 12.

"Our gratitude pours towards the Almighty, as the Office was able to achieve such an award from the Capital Investment Coordination Board," Edy said in a written statement received here on Friday. "This was all possible surely because of the support and guidance of the Governor, Deputy Governor, and Regional Secretary of DKI Jakarta, as well as the hard work that came from all of the Office`s staff."

The award was the result of a survey and a qualification test conducted in 2018 on 565 subjects that carry out integrated one-stop services in the provincial, sub-district, and city levels, including free market zones, free harbors, and special economic zones.

There were 11 ministries and entities involved in the scoring and qualification process, including the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Vice Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of National Planning and the National Planning Board, Finance and Development Supervisory Agency, the Monitoring Committee for the Implementation of Regional Autonomy, and the Capital Investment Coordination Board.

"We will continue to advance our performance, especially ones that are investor services oriented, as we are at the forefront of interacting with investors whenever they make investments in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta," Edy said.

In 2017, investments in Jakarta reached Rp108.6 trillion, earning DKI Jakarta the top position in terms of investment realization in Indonesia.

"Making investment as easy as possible is our main concern, and this showed in 2017 when DKI Jakarta became the province with the highest investment rate in Indonesia," Edy revealed.

The provincial government will inaugurate the Jakarta Investment Center in the near future to offer more ease in investment. The center will be in charge of overseeing the entire investment process, from clearance to realization.

The Jakarta Investment Center is also expected to target Rp1,000 trillion worth of investments in the next five years.
