"We plan to ask for a time to meet the National Police and other officials to discuss this case," Prabowo said at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, Tuesday night.
He said after the incident that took place on September 21, Sarumpaet and her family members did not dare to report because they also received threats from unknown perpetrators.
Prabowo emphasized that what happened to Sarumpaet was very intolerable because violence in any form could not be justified in a democratic country.
"For me, this is an act that is has gone too far. Even though Sarumpaet is resigned to her fate, we are going to question it," he said.
Amien Rais, a member of Prabowo-Sandiaga`s National Board of Success Team (BPN), said the meeting is planned because the National Police Chief has the task to provide security for the community.
He hopes that input will be given to the Police chief to enforce the law and justice so that the perpetrators should be arrested immediately.
