Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno officially opened the Indonesian Pavilion exhibition at the Westin Nusa Dua Resort, Bali, on Tuesday.

"This is a result of the collaboration and synergy between state-owned enterprises to introduce our activities, supported by the Creative Economy Board (Bekraf), and how we can give our visitors, who are attending the IMF and World Bank annual meetings, an idea of the wealth, beauty, and creativity of Indonesians as well as the state-owned enterprises` abilities in making products that are unique to Indonesia," she remarked after visiting the Indonesian Pavilion in Westin Hotel Nusa Dua, Bali, on Tuesday.

The Indonesian government, through the Pavilion, showcased 79 projects featuring 21 state-owned enterprises, including the development of toll roads, petrochemical, and downstream mining.

"We hope to draw attention to our enterprises. With that being said, on Oct 11, a partnership agreement totaling some Rp200 trillion will be signed. Hopefully, it will go according to plan, and one of the projects contained in that agreement is the petrochemical one," she revealed.

Soemarno, who was accompanied by Head of the Creative Economy Board Triawan Munaf, was spotted wearing a Balinese woven material known as "Kolok," which means woven in sign language, as the material she was wearing was made by craftsmen with disabilities from the Bengkala Village of Bali.

The Indonesian Pavilion is held in an area spanning some two thousand square meters, and it is an exhibition that showcases the success of infrastructure development, such as highways, toll roads, airports, and seaports.

In addition, developments in telecommunications, business, and national strategic industries, such as planes, tanks, and ships, will be showcased before thousands of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) delegates.

Various investment-supporting factors that can attract investors to invest in Indonesia are also displayed in the booth.

Some 150 micro, small, and medium enterprises from 64 sub-districts and cities in Indonesia are also involved in exhibiting their work.

The Indonesian Pavilion is being organized during the annual meeting of the IMF and WB in Nusa Dua, Bali, on October 8-14, 2018.

It is divided into several rooms according to themes, including the BUMN Hall, workshops, exhibitions, VIP area, investment area, and a coffee shop.
