"What we want is nothing more and no less is peace, we do not ask for anything else," Foreign Minister al-Maliki said during an event called a walk for peace and humanity here Sunday as part of the Solidarity Week for Palestine.
He said the theme taken at the event, namely, "Walk for Peace and Humanity" was very appropriate because Palestinian people did not ask for anything other than peace and humanity for Palestine.
"We want the world to see us as human beings and also share humanity with us," al Maliki said at the event held by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a form of Indonesian support and solidarity for Palestine.
Palestine is still under the occupation of Zionist Israel for 51 years and until now, Palestinian people continue to fight for their freedom.
"Palestinians want to be free, want to enjoy humanity and live in peace and justice," he said, adding that the solidarity and support shown by the Indonesian people and government were very important for Palestine.
Maliki said that as long as there is Indonesia`s solidarity showed to the world, Palestinian people continue to struggle until they achieve their freedom and independence.
