Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian News Agency Antara and the Boznia-Herzegovina News Agency Fena agreed to exchange information and data through the signing of a memorandum of understanding at Wisma Antara here on Wednesday.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Antara`s Editor in Chief Akhmad Munir and Fena`s Editor in Chief Bisera Dzidic at Wisma Antara.
The signing was witnessed by Indonesian Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Amelia Achmad Yani, Managing Editor Budi Setiawanto, and several editors of Antara.
"Antara welcomed the cooperation with Fena for the exchange of information and data. The cooperation is facilitated by Indonesian Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Amelia Achmad Yani," Antara`s Editor in Chief Munir remarked.
Munir pointed out that Antara News Agency had collaborated with other state news agencies, such as Xinhua (China), Anadolu (Turkey), Yonhap (South Korea), Kyodo (Japan), and CNA (Taiwan).
"We follow up on the cooperation in several programs. Firstly, we exchange information and data. Antara can disseminate news in the form of text, photos, videos, and infographics through our channel antaranews.com and Antara wire," he stated.
Furthermore, he revealed that Antara was also collaborating with the Indian Embassy to showcase historical photographs of friendship between Indonesia and India.
"We have also compiled a book highlighting Armenia through photos, text, and videos. The book is now ready and will be followed up by holding exhibitions between the two countries," he noted.
This is an example of several forms of cooperation that can be explored by Antara and Fena after the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
Meanwhile, Fena`s Editor in Chief Dzidic emphasized that the cooperation held significance for Indonesia-Bosnia-Herzegovina relations.
"The two countries share good relations. The cooperation will strengthen our relations," Dzidic noted.
Dzidic remarked that Fena had expressed interest to hold a joint exhibition along with Antara.
"Journalists of the two news agencies can also visit Bosnia and Indonesia," Dzidic stated.
