Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) on Wednesday announced a plan to export All New Honda Brio cars to Southeast Asian countries, starting the first half of 2019.

All New Honda Brio cars produced at Honda plant in West Java`s Karawang district will be exported to Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam as the first destination, PT Honda Prospect Motor President Director Takehiro Watanabe said in a written statement released on Wednesday.

"The All New Honda Brio is produced with international quality standards to meet consumers` needs in various countries, including Indonesia," he noted.

"Hence, the export of Honda Brio cars from Indonesia to various countries in Southeast Asia is part of Honda`s commitment to continue to introduce quality products to customers all over the world," he added.

The All New Honda Brio, which was for the first time introduced in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show in August 2018, presents a new platform and design with various additional features.

It emphasizes more sporty design with wider cabin and baggage. Equipped with high-security standard and powerful engine, this model offers convenient driving experience while maintaining a high level of fuel efficiency.

The second generation of Honda Brio was developed by Honda R & D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., to meet the growing demand for small city cars.
