"A president of Indonesia is a president for all regions. It is unlike a governor, who is only in one region," he said during a national meeting of the election team here on Saturday.
He admitted that not all regions have been secured, but he had already mapped those that need attention.
"We check the data. There are lines there. Certainly they have to be improved to assure the victory of President Jokowi and Ma`ruf Amin. Of course, there are strategies and methods to achieve it," he said.
Erick, however, said that no special treatment would be given regions which are considered insecure. "All regions would be treated the same, as all regions have populations that must be given attention. So they must all be given maximal treatment," he said.
He said, in principle, supporters of Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin must work hard, reach out to the people and ensure the needs of the people are met.
"I think, the chief of the team`s steering board, Pak JK (Jusuf Kalla) and I, have the same principle, which is we must be militant and not rely on survey results. We must go out and approach the people," he said.
President Jokowi, who is seeking reelection for his second term, will compete against Prabowo Subianto in the election scheduled for April next year.
Based upon some surveys, President Jokowi has prospects to win the election. Prabowo Subianto, who is a former army general, lost to him in the last election in 2014.
