Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK said it has grabbed another district head on charge of corruption.

The district head of Pakpak Bharat, North Sumatra Province, Remigo Yolanda Berutu, five other civil servants and businessman were arrested in an anti graft operation by the agency early dawn between midnight and 3.00 local time on Sunday.

"Altogether there were six men arrested including civil servants and business people - two were arrested in Jakarta and four in Medan," KPK Chief Agus Rahardjo said here on Sunday.

The four arrested in Medan included the district head who was later flown to Jakarta for questioning.

The six men were arrested on charge of graft over a project of the district Public Works and Housing service, Agus said.

According to Agus, the transactions were believed to take place several times before. Part or hundreds of millions of rupiahs of the bribe money involved were confiscated by the KPK.

KPK already arrested tens of districts head over the past few months on charges of corruption.

In October, KPK nabbed the Cirebon district head, and Pasuruan mayor and in July it also arrested the district heads of Labuhan Batu and Lampung Selatan.
