So, during the four years of their leadership the unemployment rate fell from 6.1 percent to 5.3 percent," he said before some five thousand former and would-be migrant workers in Sukabumi district, West Java, on Tuesday.
The government, particularly the manpower ministry continued to create job opportunities at home and abroad, he said.
The decline in the unemployment rate is one of the evidences of the government`s success to address unemployment in the country, he added.
He said the 5.3 percent unemployment rate was a history for the Indonesian nation since the reform movement began following the downfall of the New Order government in 1998.
During the government of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the country`s poverty rate fell two digits from 11 percent to 9.8 percent, the lowest in the country`s history, he said.
"We have made one step forward and must think positively and optimistically of Indonesia to become better in the future," he said.
The social disparity rate also declined based on gini ratio index which fell from 0.41 to 0.39, he said.
