"We will empower national legal development agencies and strengthen the best law experts to synchronize and harmonize them so the law at a central level will not collide with the bylaw at a provincial level. It is indeed a big job but the legal system in Indonesia should be known," said Prabowo Subianto in the Bidakara building in Jakarta, Thursday, Jan 17.
Prabowo made the statement while answering the first question given by moderators.
"Legal certainty is important for business makers, but many laws and regulations overlap, what is the strategy to resolve the problem? "Ira Koesno, the moderator asked.
"Public anticipation is also important, involving regional university experts and ones in the capital, because many legal products are issued by the regional governments and regional legislative councils, and will be led by the main leaders, the president and vice president, we will ensure synchronization to bring legal certainty," said Sandiaga.
Sandiaga believed that the law should not only be for the rich but for all levels of society.
"Opportunities for all investments. Our country is wealthy but still left behind many problems, business opportunities are hard to come by due to legal uncertainty," said Sandiaga.
He stressed that under Prabowo-Sandi`s government the law will be synchronized and legal certainty will be ensured.
"Investment, people`s welfare, we make sure that Indonesia will win, Prabowo-Sandi Indonesia is prosperous," said Sandiaga.
The General Election Commission held the first debate on the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair for the 2019 Election with the theme of law, human rights, corruption and terrorism.
