"The profit increase last year was supported by financing expansion, fee-based surge, and optimal cheap funds," President Director of BNI Syariah Abdullah Firman Wibowo informed the press, here, Thursday.
From the financing side, BNI Syariah, as per December 2018, had channeled Rp28.30 trillion, or an increase of 19.93 percent, from Rp23.6 trillion in 2017.
Last year`s financing composition was contributed by the consumer segment, amounting to Rp13.92 trillion, or 49.17 percent, from the total financing, followed by the commercial segment worth Rp7 trillion, or 24.74 percent; the small and middle segments, Rp5.97 trillion, or 21.09 percent; the micro segment, Rp1.08 trillion, or 3.82 percent; and Hasanah Card, Rp332.69 million, or 1.18 percent.
BNI Syariah`s financing quality was relatively well-guarded, as its Non-Performing Financing (NPF) ratio in 2018 was below three percent, notably at 2.93 percent.
As of December 2018, BNI Syariah`s assets had reached Rp41.05 trillion, or an increase by 17.88 percent, from that in the previous year.
Last year, BNI Syariah had managed to collect Rp35.5 trillion in funds from third parties, or up by 20.82 percent, from Rp29.38 trillion in 2017, with more than three million customers.
