Bandar Lampung, Lampung (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Lampung Province to inaugurate a new terminal of the Radin Inten 2 Airport and Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road.

Jokowi and his entourage, aboard presidential aircraft Indonesia-1, departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta and arrived in Lampung on Friday at 7:45 a.m. local time.

Members of his entourage included Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Coordinator of the Presidential Special Staff Teten Masduki.

Upon his arrival in Bandar Lampung, they were greeted by Governor of Lampung Muhammad Ridho Ficardo and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.

Jokowi expressed hope that the airport`s new terminal would help boost the economic growth of Lampung.

Several sectors that could grow owing to transportation smoothness included tourism, business, and investment, he remarked while inaugurating the terminal.

The Lampung governor noted that the new 140.9-kilometer-long Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road is ready for operation.
