Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude rocked West Nusa Tenggara province on Sunday but there was no immediate report of casualties or material damage.

The epicenter of the quake which struck at 03.07 p.,m. local time was located 24 kilometers northeast of East Lombok district or 63 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Mataram at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG),

The tremor was felt by people living in the province's Lombok and Sumbawa islands.

Meanwhile, people in Mataram rushed outdoors to avoid any eventualities
