Beijing (ANTARA) - In terms of votes, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in Beijing, China, outperformed the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) at the 2019 election.

The vote recapitulation data of the Beijing Election Committee (PPLN) on Thursday showed that the PSI votes were 510 or around 28.51 percent of the total votes of 1,709 candidates for DPR-RI candidates.

PDIP was at second place in Beijing, with votes amounting to 499 (27.89 percent), followed by the Sejahteran Justice Party with as many as 153 votes, 95 votes for the Nasdem Party, and 77 for Gerindra.

Meanwhile, according to data obtained from PPLN Shanghai, PDIP still received a majority of 839 votes, while PSI ranked second with 665 votes.

PDIP also dominated with 695 votes, followed by PSI with 528 votes in the Guangzhou PPLN work area.

In the 2019 election, PSI is expected to fail to get a parliamentary seat because the national vote is less than the minimum limit of four percent.

The 2019 elections in Mainland China were held via three methods, voting at polling stations established at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, the Consulate General in Shanghai, and the Consulate General in Guangzhou; the method of sending ballots by mail, and the mobile ballot box (KSK) method.

Elections in China are unique because they are held in countries where there have never been elections. Related news: Rupiah strengthens following presidential election quick vote count
