"The Eid Al-Fitri Post Team 2019 in the Energy and Mineral Resources sector reported that the consumption of Premium today rose 19.25 percent; Pertalite, 8.40 percent; Pertamax/Akra 92, 22.23 percent; and Pertamax Turbo, 18.72 percent," Head of the Communication Bureau, Public Information Services and Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Agung Pribadi stated here Friday.
Furthermore, Pribadi remarked that the type of gasoil/diesel recording a notable rise in consumption were Pertamina Dex type, up to 155.44 percent; and Biosolar rising 10.28 percent; while Dexlite fell by 31.96 percent. "Avtur consumption also rose to 20.04 percent," he remarked.
As part of the precautionary measures to ensure the current Idul Fitri homecoming goes smoothly, the Government and Pertamina (state oil/gas company) as well as other fuel oil distribution business entities have taken steps to offer more supplies than normal, so that national fuel stocks suffice for above 20 days.
National fuel supplies for Premium type is adequate for 20 days; Pertalite, 21 days; Pertamax/Akra 92, 22 days; Pertamax Turbo, 55 days; Biosolar/Akrosol, 26 days; Dexlite, 70 days; Pertamina Dex, 44 days; Kerosene, 65 days; and Avtur, 50 days.
The postal team also reported sufficient stocks of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Gas Fuel (BBG) at 409,059 MT of LPG for 19 days, and 184,500 m3 of CNG stocks.
In the meantime, monitoring of national electricity conditions were also found to be safe.
The peak electricity load at night on May 29, 2019, recorded 40,546.65 MW of power, with a peak load of 33,600.29 MW, so the system reserves reached 6,946.36 MW, or more than 20 percent. Some areas -- Nias, Bima and Ambon -- have standby electricity.
Geological disaster monitoring cited earthquakes on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 5:13 local time on Morotai Island, northeast of Halmahera, North Maluku. The epicenter was on land at 2.30 LS coordinates and 128.57 BT, with a magnitude of 5.0, at a depth of 10 km.
The earthquake is estimated to be linked to the Philippine Plate subduction zone. This earthquake did not trigger a tsunami, and no reports of damage were reported.
