Karawang, W Java (ANTARA) - Satya Putra, a seven-year-old obese boy weighing 101 kilograms (kg) from Karawang, will be transferred to the Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung, West Java, to receive intensive treatment for his condition, Karawang local hospital's medical team reported.

"The medical team of Karawang Hospital has recommended transferring the obese patient to RSHS Bandung (Hasan Sadikin Hospital)," Karawang Hospital's spokesman Ruhimin stated here on Friday.

The Karawang Health office has readied the required documents for the transfer of the patient, as his medical treatment will be covered under the government's health insurance.

Satya's parents, Sarli, 50, and Komariah, 40, have agreed to continue the medical treatment for their son in Bandung.

The 101-kg boy from Cilempung, Pasirjaya Village, Cilamaya Kulon Sub-district, Karawang, eats five portions of rice a day and gets irate if his parents refuse to give him food.

Satya was brought to Karawang Hospital on Wednesday after Deputy District Head of Karawang H. Ahmad Zamakhsyari visited him and bought toys for the boy to coax him into seeing the doctor.
