Bogor, W Java (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo discussed Indonesia's future development while receiving the management of the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo) at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Monday.

"In essence, he expressed his views on how to take Indonesia forward with his election during this second period," Perindo Party Chairman, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, said after meeting President Jokowi.

According to Hary, party administrators also expressed their support for the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government.

Hary explained that the Perindo Party and President Jokowi had the same views toward development. He also said the composition of the future government cabinet was the President's prerogative.

"Issues regarding to the cabinet (composition) are all in his hands," Hary explained.

In addition, Hary also explained that future economic development should focus on increasing exports and investments.

The meeting between the Perindo Party management and President Jokowi lasted almost one hour from 16:35 WIB.

During the meeting, the President was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno.

Hary was also accompanied by a number of Perindo Party administrators who also participated in the meeting including the Perindo Party Secretary General, Ahmad Rofiq, as well as the Chairman of the Perindo Communication and Mass Media Division, Arya Sinulingga.
