Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian vice-presidential candidate Ma`ruf Amin attended the closing of a briefing of the Perindo Party candidates at the iNews Tower Building, Central Jakarta, late Tuesday.

"I thank Mr Hary Tanoe, who invited me today to speak before the Perindo Party," Amin noted in his address.

Amin remarked that the place where he delivered the speech was the venue mentioned as the debate arena for the 2019 presidential and vice presidential candidates.

He said the opportunity offered to him by Perindo was a place to practice for the presidential-vice presidential debate.

"This was the place for the presidential-vice presidential debate, if only today I would just train," Amin remarked.

Amin stated that Perindo was a powerful party, as it had obtained the number 9 considered by many to be good.

He also expressed hope that Perindo would pass several DPR members after achieving the targets of fulfilling the party`s tasks and populist duties, so that they could contribute to a prosperous Indonesia.

While addressing the Perindo candidates, Amin also expressed hope that he would be elected as vice president.

"Today, I stand in front of the Perindo Party as a vice president. I hope to stand in front of Perindo once again as vice president. Hopefully, I just want to help Jokowi to complete what has been done in arranging stakes and milestones in order to make Indonesia more prosperous," Amin explained.
