I express my greatest gratitude to all ministers and heads of non-ministerial government organizations for their hard work in the past five years
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), due to shortly end his first term of office, was thankful to ministers and heads of non-ministerial government institutions in the Working Cabinet for the 2014-2019 period.

"I express my greatest gratitude to all ministers and heads of non-ministerial government organizations for their hard work in the past five years," the president remarked in his address at the opening of the plenary cabinet meeting on evaluating the implementation of the national medium-term development plan 2014-2019 and preparations for the implementation of the 2020 state budget at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.

The president noted that ministers and heads of non-ministerial government organizations had lent significant assistance to him and Vice President Jusuf Kalla in realizing the vision and priority programs.

Jokowi did admit to several things still needed to be done.

He recalled that during the early days of the Working Cabinet for the 2014-2019 period, he had once remarked that the vision and mission in place were those of the president and vice president.

"This way we are really within one vision, one goal, and one track," he noted.

Jokowi’s inauguration for his second term of office is scheduled on October 20, 2019.
