Cirebon, W Java (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Police's anti-terror squad Densus 88 has arrested two suspected terrorists in Cirebon, West Java Province, on Sunday (Oct 13).

The first suspect, identified by his initials YF, is allegedly linked to the Cirebon branch of radical group Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) and was arrested in Bojong Wetan Village, Cirebon District.

"(The suspect) arrested by Densus 88 is YF, 49," Cirebon Police Chief Adjunct Sen. Comm. Suhermanto noted in a short message here on Monday.

In its raid on YF's house, the police found chemical liquid, bows and arrow, homemade weapons, air rifle, books, and other evidence.

"The suspected terrorist is a member of JAD," he remarked.

However, Suhermanto could not furnish further details on the suspect's alleged involvement in the stabbing of Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Wiranto.

"We do not know as yet whether he was involved in the stabbing of the minister. It was handled by Densus," he stated.

In addition to YF, the anti-terror squad has arrested a terror suspect B in Panjunan, Lemahnguwuk Sub-district, Cirebon City, on the same day.
