Chinese Vice President Qishan pays courtesy call on Kalla

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla received a courtesy call from Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday morning.

Kalla greeted Qishan upon arrival at the Vice Presidential Palace at 11:46 a.m. local time.

The two vice presidents held a brief discussion before having lunch at the Vice Presidential Palace's auditorium.

Qishan is on a visit to Indonesia to attend the inauguration of President-elect Joko Widodo and Vice President-elect Ma'ruf Amin on Sunday (Oct 20).

Following the inauguration, Qishan is set to pay a courtesy call on newly inaugurated Vice President Amin and have dinner at the Vice Presidential Palace later on the day.

While in Indonesia, Qishan had visited Solo and Sragen, Central Java, on Friday (Oct 18). The Chinese vice president and entourage met with Central Java Vice Governor Taj Yasin and Solo Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo.
