Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will deliver Indonesia's plan to build a new capital city in East Kalimantan with the concept of sustainable city, in his keynote speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Week in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday (Jan 13).

The President will attend the event as a keynote speaker, where he will speak on some issues including on the relocation of the capital city, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base here on Sunday.

"This is a prestigious event on sustainability. It will not only address issues related to environment but it will also discuss such other issues as sustainable economy and sustainable technology," Pratikno said.

The new capital city, Pratikno said, would be a compact city with zero emission, and become a new engine of developing economy, innovation and creativity, he elaborated.

Jokowi will meet Emir of Abu Dhabi Khalifa bin Zayid al Nahyan at the presidential palace upon his arrival on Sunday evening.

The President is also scheduled to hold a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Syeikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan and a delegation of Softbank to discuss economic partnership.

President Jokowi took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at 8.10 a.m. aboard the Indonesia-1 presidential aircraft. He is scheduled to return to Indonesia on late Monday (Jan 13).
