Semarang, C Java (ANTARA) - Totok Santoso, self-proclaimed king of the so-called "Keraton Agung Sejagat" Kingdom in Purworejo District, urged his followers to contribute financially tens of millions of rupiah, Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Rycko Amelza Dahniel stated.

"The financial contribution is compulsory, and they are promised to have a better life," Dahniel stated in Semarang, the capital of Central Java Province, on Wednesday.

To convince some 150 of his followers into believing that he really was a credible king, Santoso complied with requisites pertaining to false documents, including a United Nations' card.

Santoso also pledged that those following him would be free from any catastrophe and disaster and lead a better life. However, those not joining him would be hit by catastrophes and disasters.

Santoso and his self-proclaimed queen, Fanni Aminadia, were arrested by those from the Central Java Police's Criminal Investigation Department for allegedly deceiving people to join his kingdom on Jan 14.

The police investigators had sufficient evidence to declare them suspects, he stated, adding that the couple attempted to attract public attention by using royal symbols to deceive the community members.

"With the royal symbols, he offers a ray of hope with ideology and change of life. All the symbols are fake," he added.
